Spread with 1/2 of the ricotta cheese. 8. Sprinkle with 1/2 of the mozzarella cheese. 9. Repeat layers. 10. Bake for 30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. 11. Let stand for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Chili is a hearty and flavorful dish that is perfect for a cold day. It's also a great way to use up leftover ground beef or turkey.

To make chili, you'll need:

  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1 (28-ounce) can of crushed tomatoes
  • 1 (15-ounce) can of kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 (15-ounce) can of black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 (15-ounce) can of corn, drained
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions:

1. In a large pot, brown the ground beef or turkey over medium heat. Drain off any excess grease. 2. Add the onion and green bell pepper to the pot and cook until softened. 3. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, kidney beans, black beans, corn, chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for 30 minutes, or until thickened. 4. To make shepherd's pie, you'll need:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped carrots
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1 cup Guinness or other dark beer
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
